The blog is based on Thematic by Ian Stewart, with colours and layouts strongly informed by my own needs. I can walk you through how to achieve this effect by using Child Themes if you like.
Some of the code is totally custom, such as the footer and my newly developed subscription options plugin. Let me know if you need more info.
